About the project:

The intestinal microbiome impacts health throughout the entire human body. Because of this, it has become important to understand how it is built and maintained. Projects in our group concern the study of human gut Bacteroidetes, which are prominent bacteria of the gut microbiome.

 

The project involves techniques to perform functionality test on putative intestinal colonisation genes in vitro and in the development of genetic techniques to manipulate intestinal microbiome bacteria.
